Christopher Goffard is an American journalist, author, and podcaster. He is currently a staff writer for the Los Angeles Times and has covered city hall, law enforcement, and court beats throughout his career. Goffard grew up in Los Angeles, California and earned an English degree from Cornell University. In 2006, he joined the Los Angeles Times as a staff writer. Goffard's accomplishments include winning a Pulitzer Prize and being a finalist for the Edgar Allan Poe Award for Best First Novel. He is also known for his podcast Dirty John, which has achieved more than 50 million downloads. Goffard has written several books, including Snitch Jacket (2007) and You Will See Fire: A Search For Justice In Kenya (2012).
