Christopher Hampson

Christopher Hampson is an English ballet choreographer and director, as well as a former ballet dancer. Born on March 31, 1973, he began his professional training at the Royal Ballet School when he was just 11 years old. Hampson danced professionally with the English National Ballet, where he reached the rank of Soloist. After retiring from dancing, he focused on choreography and directing ballets. He has created works for esteemed companies such as the Royal New Zealand Ballet, English National Ballet, Prague National Ballet, and the Atlanta Ballet. Additionally, Hampson has produced pieces for vocational dance schools in the UK and served as a ballet master for the City Ballet of London. In 2012, he became the artistic director of Scottish Ballet, a position he still holds today.
