Christopher Robbins
Christopher Robbins (19 November 1946 – 24 December 2012) was a British writer and journalist. He gained recognition for his 1978 bestseller Air America, a non-fiction book about the secret airline operated by the CIA during the Vietnam War. The book was later adapted into a film in 1990. Robbins was born in Bristol and attended Taunton School. As a talented schoolboy, he began working for local newspapers such as the Evening World and the Evening Post. He eventually became a freelance journalist, specializing in investigative work, particularly about the CIA. In addition to his notable works, Robbins also authored In Search of Kazakhstan: The Land that Disappeared in 2008.
