Claudia Hart

Claudia Hart is an artist, curator, and critic known for her innovative work in the field of virtual representations. She was born in 1955 in New York, New York. Hart graduated cum laude from New York University with a BA in Art History in 1978, and later studied architecture at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, earning an MS in 1984. She began her career as an art and architecture critic, working as an associate editor at I.D. magazine and later as the reviews editor at Artforum magazine. Currently, Hart serves as an associate professor in the Department of Film, Video, New Media, Animation at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she continues to create captivating 3D imagery integrated into photography, animated loops, and multi-channel animation installations.
