Clinton Jackson
Clinton Jackson (born May 20, 1954) is an American former professional boxer. He gained recognition for his achievements as an amateur boxer, including competing in the 1976 Summer Olympics and winning a silver medal at the 1974 World Championships and a gold medal at the 1975 Pan American Games. Born in Evergreen, Alabama, Jackson excelled in multiple sports during high school before focusing on boxing. He turned professional in 1979 but did not find the same success as he had in the amateur ranks. Jackson retired from boxing in 1985 after a knockout win. In 1989, he was convicted of kidnapping and involved in an extortion scheme.
