Coco Robicheaux

Coco Robicheaux, born Curtis John Arceneaux (October 25, 1947 – November 25, 2011), was an American blues musician and artist. He was born in Merced, California, and raised in Ascension Parish, Louisiana. Robicheaux's father was of Acadian (Cajun) descent, and his mother had English, Norwegian, Scottish, German, Dutch, Welsh, and Native American ancestry. As a child, Robicheaux spent time in France, where his father was stationed. He adopted his stage name from a Louisiana legend about a mischievous child named Coco Robicheaux who is taken by a werewolf. Robicheaux was known for his contributions to the blues music scene and his unique artistic style.
