Craig Douglas, born Terence Perkins on August 13, 1941, is an English pop singer known for his popularity in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Originally working as a milkman, Douglas transitioned to become a professional singer and was famously referred to as the 'Singing Milkman.' Under the management of Bunny Lewis, he adopted the name Craig Douglas, inspired by the name of a house in Scotland. In 1959, he was voted 'Best New Singer' by the British music magazine, NME. Douglas recorded nine Top 40 UK singles, including his chart-topping hit 'Only Sixteen' in 1959, which sold more copies in the UK than Sam Cooke's original version.
