Craig Young
Craig Young (born 25 June 1956) is an Australian former representative rugby league footballer. He played as a prop-forward for the Australia national rugby league team, the New South Wales Blues, and the St. George Dragons from 1977 to 1988. Born in Wollongong, New South Wales, Young attended Corrimal High School. Prior to his rugby league career, Young had a strong grounding in soccer and was playing for Bellambi in the Illawarra soccer competition while also competing for Corrimal Cougars in rugby league. Young is known by the nickname 'Albert' after his middle name and/or the cartoon character Fat Albert. He is the younger brother of goalkeeper Warwick Young, who played state league soccer for the Wollongong Wolves and St. George.
