Cynthia Harrison Biography
Cynthia Ellen Harrison, born in October 1946 in Brooklyn, New York, is a historian and former professor at George Washington University. She is best known for her activism in the feminist movement, particularly her contributions to the Equal Credit Act of 1974. Harrison has been a staunch advocate for gender equality throughout her career. After completing her bachelor's degree in American literature at Brooklyn College, she pursued a master's degree in library service at Columbia University. She later earned her doctorate degree in history. Harrison has resided in Washington, D.C. since 1975.
