Daisy Ashford
Daisy Ashford (1881-1972) was an English writer known for her novella The Young Visiters, which she wrote at the age of nine. The novella, published in 1919, provides a glimpse into the upper-class society of late 19th century England. Born on April 3, 1881, in Petersham, Surrey, Ashford was the eldest of three daughters. She received most of her education at home alongside her sisters. Ashford's writing talent emerged early, and at the age of four, she dictated her first story to her father. In addition to The Young Visiters, she also wrote several other stories. Despite her young age at the time of writing, Ashford's work showcases her storytelling abilities.
