Dale Hunter
Dale Robert Hunter (born July 31, 1960) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and the former head coach of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League. He is currently the co-owner, president, and head coach of the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League. Born in Petrolia, Ontario, and raised in nearby Oil Springs, Ontario, Hunter comes from a hockey family, with both his older brother Dave and younger brother Mark also playing in the NHL. Hunter was selected 41st overall by the Quebec Nordiques in the 1979 NHL Entry Draft and played seven years with the team. Known as the 'Nuisance' on ice, Hunter was highly respected by his teammates and known for his hard work and dedication.
