Dale Talde

Dale Talde (born October 25, 1978) is an American chef, television personality, and cookbook author. He gained recognition for competing on two seasons of the Bravo reality cooking competition series Top Chef: Top Chef: Chicago in 2008 and Top Chef: All-Stars in 2010–11. Although finishing in sixth place on both seasons, Talde became one of the show's most popular cast members and has returned as a guest judge multiple times. He has also hosted Tastemade's Up in My Grill and served as the head judge in Knife Fight season 4. Talde has appeared as a guest judge on various other cooking shows like Top Chef Amateurs, Chopped, Chopped Junior, and Beat Bobby Flay. In 2022, he was nominated for a James Beard Award for Best Chef in New York. Talde, a Filipino-American, developed his love for cooking while assisting his mother in the kitchen during his upbringing in Chicago.
