Dalton Grant

Dalton Grant (born 8 April 1966) is a former high jumper from Hackney, London. He represented Great Britain and won four national titles in the men's high jump event at the AAA Championships. Grant achieved a personal best jump of 2.36 metres at the 1991 World Championships in Tokyo, as well as a personal indoor best of 2.37 metres. He competed in five consecutive Commonwealth Games, representing England. Grant won a silver medal in 1990 and a gold medal in 1998. He was born to Jamaican parents and attended Hackney Downs School, where he discovered his talent for high jump.
