Damar Hamlin

Damar Romeyelle Hamlin is an American football safety for the Buffalo Bills of the NFL. He was born on March 24, 1998, and grew up in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania. Hamlin played college football at the University of Pittsburgh before being selected by the Bills in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He started his rookie season as a backup but became a starter in 2022 due to a teammate's injury. On January 2, 2023, during a game in Cincinnati, Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest but received immediate medical attention and made a full recovery. He returned to professional football after his rehabilitation.
