Dan Klein Biography
Dan Klein is an American computer scientist and professor of computer science at the University of California, Berkeley. He specializes in natural language processing and artificial intelligence. Klein attended Mt. Lebanon High School in Mt. Lebanon Township, Pennsylvania before earning a BA in mathematics, computer science, and linguistics from Cornell University in 1998. He went on to complete a Master of Studies in linguistics at Oxford University in 1999 and received his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 2004. Klein has received several prestigious awards, including the ACM's Grace Murray Hopper Award, the Sloan Research Fellowship, the NSF CAREER Award, and the Microsoft New Faculty Fellowship.
