Daniel Powter
Daniel Richard Powter is a Canadian musician and songwriter. Born on February 25, 1971, Powter is best known for his hit song "Bad Day" (2005), which reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks. Growing up in Vernon, British Columbia, Powter learned to play the violin at the age of 4 but switched to piano at 16 after his violin was destroyed. Despite facing challenges with dyslexia, he dropped out of university at 20 to pursue a music career. Powter released his debut studio album, "I'm Your Betty," in 2000 and has continued to write and perform music since then.
