Daniel Reisberg

Daniel Reisberg is an American academic and cognitive psychologist. He is currently the Patricia and Clifford Lunneborg Professor of Psychology at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. Reisberg specializes in memory, judgment, and imagery, with a particular focus on their relation to emotion. He earned his B.A. in psychology and philosophy from Swarthmore College in 1975 and later obtained an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1976 and 1980 respectively. Reisberg has been teaching at Reed College since 1986. In addition to his academic work, he is the author of The Science of Perception and Memory: A Pragmatic Guide for the Justice System and often provides consultation to the justice community and serves as an expert witness in court.
