Danish Husain
Danish Husain, born Murtaza Danish Husaini, is an Indian actor, storyteller, poet, and theatre director. He is also known by the names Dan Husain and Murtaza Danish Husain. Born into a Muslim family, Danish graduated from Delhi University with degrees in economics and management. After a career in banking, he transitioned to the performing arts and joined Mahmood Farooqui to revive Urdu storytelling and develop multilingual storytelling. Danish is the founder of The Hoshruba Repertory, a theatre company in Mumbai. He has appeared in notable films like Dhobi Ghat (2010), Peepli Live (2010), Newton (2017), and Soorma (2018), as well as television series including Taj Mahal 1989 (2020), Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu (2021), and Bard of Blood.
