Danny Sapani Biography
Danny Sapani (born November 15, 1970) is a British actor known for his work in British, American, and Indian films. He has appeared in popular TV shows such as Misfits, Doctor Who, Penny Dreadful, The Crown, and Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Sapani was born and raised in London to Ghanaian immigrant parents. He began his acting journey at the Weekend Arts College and later trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama. In addition to his film and TV work, Sapani has an impressive stage career, with credits including August Wilson's Joe Turner's Come and Gone and Radio Golf, Errol John's Moon on a Rainbow Shawl, and a production of Euripides' Medea at The National Theatre. His versatility is showcased by his role as drug lord Michael Kong in the 2013 Indian action film Singam II. In 2021, Sapani starred alongside Adrian Lester in the streamed version of Lolita Chakrabarti's Hymn at the Almeida theatre in London.
