Darren Hanlon

Darren Hanlon is an Australian singer-songwriter known for his distinctive narrative vision in his music. Hailing from Gympie, Queensland, Hanlon began his career as a member of indie rock band The Simpletons before embarking on a successful solo career in 1999. He has released five solo albums, four EPs, and nine singles, showcasing his unique style of 'urban folk.' Hanlon's music has been featured on various compilation tracks and he has also contributed as a guitarist and keyboardist for other artists such as The Lucksmiths, The Dearhunters, and Mick Thomas. In addition to his musical endeavors, Hanlon is also a self-published author and engages audiences with his down-to-earth storytelling during live performances.
