    Dave Pierce Biography
    Dave Pierce (born October 24, 1972) is a Canadian songwriter, composer, producer, and arranger. He gained recognition as the music director for the opening, closing, and victory ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, where he won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Direction. Known for his talent in arranging, Pierce worked on Twyla Tharp's Frank Sinatra musical Come Fly Away, both on Broadway and at the Wynn Las Vegas. He has also served as the music director for the Calgary Stampede Evening Grandstand Show and the 2009 Gemini Awards television show in Canada. Throughout his career, Pierce has collaborated with notable artists such as Michael Bublé, Carrie Underwood, Sarah McLachlan, and k.d. lang. He is the proud father of two daughters.
