David Bloom
David Bloom (May 22, 1963 – April 6, 2003) was an American television journalist and co-anchor of Weekend Today. He was known for his reporting and contributions to various news programs. Born in Edina, Minnesota, Bloom was an accomplished ice hockey player and state champion in high school debating. He attended Pitzer College, where he excelled in political science and ranked top in the nation for intercollegiate policy debate in 1985. Bloom's career in journalism took him to various television networks, including NBC News. Tragically, he passed away at the age of 39 due to complications from deep vein thrombosis. He is survived by his wife, Melanie, and three daughters.
