David Castro

David Castro (born February 7, 1996) is an American actor known for his role as Raphael Santiago on the Freeform fantasy series Shadowhunters. He was born on Long Island, New York to a Puerto Rican father, Albee Castro, and an American mother of Italian descent, Kathleen. Castro made his acting debut in the 2004 film Palindromes and later appeared in independent films such as A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints and Little Fugitive. In 2007, he was featured in Tracks of Color and Where God Left His Shoes. He also had roles in 27 Dresses (2008) and The Ministers (2009). In addition, Castro starred in the film Forged and portrayed Raphael Santiago in Shadowhunters from 2016 to 2019.
