David Chase
David Henry Chase (born August 22, 1945) is an American writer, producer, and director. He is best known for creating and producing the HBO drama series The Sopranos, which aired for six seasons between 1999 and 2007. Chase has also worked on other successful television shows such as The Rockford Files, I'll Fly Away, and Northern Exposure. In addition to his television work, Chase has directed two films: Not Fade Away (2012) and The Many Saints of Newark (2021), a prequel to The Sopranos. Born into a working-class Italian American family in Mount Vernon, New York, Chase grew up in New Jersey, where he developed a love for storytelling and crime films.
