David Greenspan

David Greenspan (born 1956) is an American actor and playwright. He is the recipient of six Obie awards, including one in 2010 for Sustained Achievement. Greenspan was born in Los Angeles, California and holds a B.A. in Drama from the University of California at Irvine. He is known for his versatility as an artist, working as a playwright, actor, and director. Greenspan's early plays were more autobiographical, with one taking inspiration from James Joyce's Ulysses. His later works draw inspiration from authors such as Hawthorne, Stein, Molnar, and Thornton Wilder. Greenspan's theatre is known for its ability to tackle a wide range of emotions and themes, showcasing a deeply empathetic imagination.
