David Greenspan

David Greenspan (born 1956) is an American actor and playwright. He is known for his work in theater, receiving six Obie awards, including one for Sustained Achievement in 2010. Greenspan was born in 1956 in Los Angeles, California, and holds a B.A. in Drama from the University of California at Irvine. He is a classicist who experiments with different theatrical forms, exploring various inspirations from literary works such as Joyce's Ulysses, Hawthorne's stories, Stein's writings, Molnar's plays, and Thorton Wilder's works. Greenspan is also involved in directing and is known for his deeply empathic imagination. He currently resides in New York City with his long-time partner, painter William Kennon.
