David Grieco Biography
David Grieco (born 19 September 1951) is an Italian director, screenwriter, and former actor. He began his movie career as an actor, working with directors such as Franco Zeffirelli, Pier Paolo Pasolini, and Bernardo Bertolucci. Grieco later transitioned into film criticism, becoming a critic for l'Unità. In his 30s, he began directing documentaries and TV commercials. His first feature film, Evilenko, was released in 2004, starring Malcolm McDowell. Grieco's most recent film is the 2016 movie La macchinazione, featuring Massimo Ranieri as Pier Paolo Pasolini. He has a diverse filmography including works such as Caruso Pascoski di padre polacco (1988) and Mortacci (1989).
