    David Daniel Masters (born 22 April 1978) is a former English cricketer who played for Kent, Leicestershire, and Essex County Cricket Clubs between 2000 and 2016. Masters, born in Chatham, Kent, made his senior cricket debut for Kent in 2000 as a seam bowler. He later joined Leicestershire in 2003 and was named the county's player of the year in 2005. In 2008, he joined Essex County Cricket Club and remained with them until his retirement in 2016. Masters took a total of 672 first-class wickets during his 16-year career. Known for his dependable performance and reliable leadership, he was a nagging medium-paced bowler who consistently moved the ball.
