David Pendleton
David Alexander Pendleton (born February 2, 1967) is a former politician and attorney. He served as the Minority Floor Leader of the Hawaii House of Representatives from 1998 to 2002. Pendleton was a member of the Republican Party and represented Kailua and Kaneohe for four two-year terms as a state representative from 1996 to 2004. Born in California, Pendleton moved to Hawaii during preschool and attended Hawaiian Mission Academy. He graduated from La Sierra University with a double major in history and political science, and later earned a Master of Arts in Religion from Loma Linda University. Pendleton became a minister before pursuing a Juris Doctor from USC and being admitted to the bar in California and Hawaii. Prior to his political career, he interned with the Hawaii Lieutenant Governor's Office in 1985.
