David Posey

David Ellsworth Posey, born on April 1, 1956, is a former American football kicker who played for the New England Patriots in the National Football League (NFL). Prior to his professional career, Posey played college football at Florida University, where he joined as a walk-on and eventually became a key player. During a game against the Auburn Tigers on November 2nd, 1974, Posey showcased his talent by making two field goals, including a 47-yarder, leading his team to a 25-14 victory. Although drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the 1977 NFL draft, Posey was ultimately cut before the season began.
