David Ragsdale

David Lasater Ragsdale (born April 3, 1958) is an American musician. He is best known as the violinist for the rock band Kansas from 1991 to 1997 and from 2006 to 2023. Ragsdale started violin at the age of three and trained in classical music. At the age of 16, he discovered the hard-rocking violin of Robby Steinhardt from the band Kansas, which inspired him to pursue the violin in rock music. Ragsdale released a solo album in 1997 and has also appeared as a guest artist with various other bands. He has a deep passion for blending the violin with rock music and has contributed to the genre with his exceptional skills.
