David Ropeik

David Ropeik is an international consultant, author, teacher, and speaker on risk perception and risk communication. He is the creator and director of Improving Media Coverage of Risk, a training program for journalists. With a background in journalism, Ropeik started his career as a radio and television reporter for WTIC in Hartford, CT. He later worked at WCVB-TV in Boston as a reporter, specializing in environmental news. Ropeik has written articles for various publications, including Big Think, Psychology Today, Cognoscenti, Medium, and the Huffington Post. He holds a BSJ from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University and a MSJ from the same institution.
