David Scott

David Randolph Scott is an American retired test pilot and NASA astronaut. Born on June 6, 1932, he is best known for being the seventh person to walk on the Moon. Scott was selected as part of the third group of astronauts in 1963 and flew to space three times. He commanded Apollo 15, the fourth lunar landing, and is one of four surviving Moon walkers. Before becoming an astronaut, Scott graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and joined the Air Force, where he served as a fighter pilot in Europe. He retired from the Air Force in 1975 as a colonel and has over 5,600 hours of logged flying time.
