David Shannon
David Shannon is an American writer and illustrator of children's books. Born on October 5, 1959, in Washington, D.C., Shannon spent his childhood in Spokane, Washington. He graduated from the Art Center College of Design and currently resides in Los Angeles. In 1998, he received the Caldecott Honor for his book No, David!. Some of his other notable works include A Bad Case of Stripes, How Georgie Radbourn Saved Baseball, and The Amazing Christmas Extravaganza. Shannon has also illustrated books by authors such as Audrey Wood, Rafe Martin, Jane Yolen, and Melinda Long. With a passion for characters and a love for Disney movies, Shannon continues to captivate young readers with his engaging storytelling and vibrant illustrations.
