David Thibodeau
David Thibodeau (born February 13, 1969) is an American Branch Davidian, survivor of the Waco siege, and musician. Born in Bangor, Maine, Thibodeau moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue a music career. It was in Los Angeles where he converted to Branch Davidianism after meeting David Koresh in 1990. Thibodeau attended the Musicians Institute of Technology in the late 1980s. Upon Koresh's request, he married Michele Jones at the Mount Carmel Center near Waco, Texas. Thibodeau was present during the botched raid conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) on February 28, 1993. He stayed at the compound for the 51-day siege until escaping the fire that consumed the compound. Thibodeau co-authored the memoir 'A Place Called Waco: A Survivor's Story' in 1999 and currently runs the website 'Waco Survivors.'
