Dean Hoff

Dean Hoff is an American writer, director, Scottish historian, and folklorist specializing in monster legends. She is also an actress and model. Born in Duluth, Minnesota, Hoff began acting and writing at a young age. She pursued her passion for Scottish history, culture, and literature, earning degrees at the University of Glasgow. Hoff gained recognition for her work in the Scottish supernatural detective drama Caledonia, which she wrote, directed, and produced in 2014. She is also the author of the fictional novel series of the same name. Hoff's follow-up feature film, Burns Night, explores vampire mythology through the lens of Scottish poet Robert Burns. Her work has been well-received, with Caledonia receiving positive reviews and being screened at various film festivals.
