Debbie Dingell, born Deborah Ann Dingell (Insley) on November 23, 1953, is an American politician and member of the Democratic Party. Since 2015, she has served as the U.S. Representative for Michigan's 6th congressional district. Prior to this, the district was known as the 12th congressional district until 2023. Dingell's late husband, John Dingell, held the same seat and is the longest-serving member of Congress in U.S. history. Debbie Dingell worked as a consultant to the American Automobile Policy Council and served as a superdelegate for the 2012 Democratic National Convention. She is actively involved in various charities in Michigan and Washington, D.C. and serves on several charitable boards, including the National Women's Health Resource Center, the Children's Inn at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and Vital Voices Global Partnership.
