Dennis Montague Anderson (born October 24, 1960) is an American former professional monster truck driver and the creator, team owner, and former driver of Grave Digger on the USHRA Monster Jam circuit. Originally from Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina, Anderson started out as a mud bogger in 1982. He built his first truck using the body of a 1952 Ford pickup truck, which he later rebuilt with larger wheels using a 1951 Ford panel truck. Anderson's career took off when he offered to crush cars at a local show in the absence of a scheduled monster truck. In 1986, Grave Digger received its distinctive black graveyard paint scheme and went on to become one of the most iconic monster trucks in history.
