Dennis Hogan

Dennis P. Hogan is an American sociologist and author. He is currently the Robert E. Turner Distinguished Professor in Population at Brown University. Previously, from 1987 to 1995, he held the position of Distinguished Professor of Sociology and Director of the Population Research Institute at Pennsylvania State University. Hogan has made significant contributions to the field of sociology, with his work focusing on topics such as social status, family structure, and neighborhood impact on fertility. One of his most cited papers is 'The impact of social status, family structure, and neighborhood on the fertility of black adolescents.'
