Derek Chadwick
Derek Chadwick (born 21 March 1941) is an Australian former sportsman, known for his achievements in both cricket and Australian rules football. As a right-handed opening batsman, he had a successful cricketing career, scoring 4082 runs at an average of 34.30, including 9 centuries. Chadwick represented Australia on a tour of New Zealand in 1969-70. In football, he played as a wingman for East Perth in the Western Australian Football League (WAFL), amassing a club record of 269 games. Chadwick won the F.D. Book Medal twice, which is awarded to the best and fairest player at East Perth. He also received a Simpson Medal for his performances with the Western Australian state team and was inducted into the WAFL Hall of Fame in 2004.
