Derek Miller Biography
Derek E. Miller, born on October 25, 1983, is a former Treasurer of Macomb County, Michigan. He has a diverse background in law enforcement and politics. Miller served as an Assistant Prosecutor in Macomb County and worked as a trial attorney for the Prosecutor's Office, handling cases in both Circuit and District Courts. He specialized in prosecuting crimes against the elderly while holding a position in the Senior Crimes Unit. Miller also served as a liaison to Warren and Center Line's Drug Court and has been involved with the Roseville 39th District Sobriety Court. Prior to his law enforcement career, he worked as a sole proprietor attorney. Miller earned his bachelor's degree in political science from Michigan State University and later obtained a Juris Doctor degree.
