Derrin Horton Biography
Derrin Horton is an American sportscaster based in Los Angeles, California. He is known for his work as a sports anchor for KTLA, as well as his previous roles as a play-by-play announcer and anchor for ESPN and Fox Sports Net. Born in Washington, D.C., Horton grew up in Queens, New York and graduated from Holy Cross High School in Flushing in 1986. He attended the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, where he gained experience at the student-run WAER station and Citrus TV, calling Syracuse Orange sports. In 1998, Horton became a sportscaster for KCAL-TV in Los Angeles, and later joined NFL Network in 2004 as an anchor, reporter, and host.
