Desi Oakley Biography
Desiree 'Desi' Oakley is an American singer and actress known for her work in musical theatre. Born on June 12, 1989, in Wichita, Kansas, Oakley began performing at the age of 8 and attended professional theatre at Music Theatre Wichita. She has portrayed various roles such as Dorothy Gale in The Wizard of Oz, Eponine in Les Misérables, Gabriella in High School Musical, and Ariel in The Little Mermaid. Oakley made her Broadway debut in Wicked in 2012, where she started as a swing and later became a member of the ensemble, understudying the roles of Elphaba and Nessarose Thropp. She has also appeared in the Broadway revival of Annie in 2012. Oakley has been featured in productions including Waitress, Chicago, and Wicked.
