Dick Costolo

Dick Costolo is an American businessman and former CEO of Twitter, Inc. He served as CEO from 2010 to 2015, taking over from Evan Williams. Prior to becoming CEO, Costolo was the COO of Twitter. He stepped down as CEO in July 2015 and was replaced by Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey on an interim basis. Costolo was born on September 10, 1963, in Royal Oak, Michigan. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer and communication sciences from the University of Michigan, which he earned in 1985. Before joining the technology industry, he worked in improvisational comedy in Chicago.
