Diego Aguirre

Diego Aguirre is a Uruguayan football manager and former player. He was born on September 13, 1965. Aguirre began his career as a forward and played for various clubs throughout his career. He started with Liverpool Montevideo and then moved to city rivals Peñarol, where he was part of the squad that won the 1987 Copa Libertadores. Aguirre also had stints with clubs like Olympiacos, ACF Fiorentina, Internacional, São Paulo, and Portuguesa, among others. He played for clubs in Uruguay, Brazil, Bolivia, Spain, and El Salvador. Aguirre later transitioned into football management and has continued to contribute to the sport.
