Diego Costa

Diego da Silva Costa, born on October 7, 1988, is a professional footballer from Brazil. He currently plays as a striker for the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A club Botafogo. Costa began his career in Brazil and later joined Braga in Portugal in 2006. Although he didn't play for the club, he had loan spells at Penafiel and eventually signed with Atlético Madrid in 2007. Throughout his career, Costa has had loan periods at Braga, Celta Vigo, Albacete, and Rayo Vallecano. He has also played for Real Valladolid. Costa's return to Atlético Madrid in 2011 saw him flourish as a goalscorer, helping the team win major titles such as La Liga, Copa del Rey, and UEFA Super Cup.
