Diona Doherty Biography
Diona Doherty (born 1989) is a Northern Irish actress, writer, and comedian from Derry. She gained recognition for her role in BBC Northern Ireland's Soft Border Patrol and her appearance as a Ukrainian student in an episode of Channel 4's Derry Girls. Doherty is a regular panellist on The Blame Game since 2021. She has also worked with Hole in the Wall Gang, writing and performing in BBC Radio Ulster's A Perforated Ulster, and collaborating with Tim McGarry on The Blame Game. Doherty has a regular role as Gráinne in Give My Head Peace and is part of the cast of Dry Your Eyes since 2022. In 2021, she competed in the BBC New Comedy Award, reaching the Northern Irish final. Doherty is married to Northern Irish comic Sean Hegarty and has one daughter.
