D.J. Demers

D.J. Demers (born 1986) is a Canadian stand-up comedian known for his television appearances on America's Got Talent and Conan. He hails from Kitchener, Ontario. Demers, who wears hearing aids due to hearing loss, often incorporates his experiences into his comedy. He began his comedy career during his second year of university, making his debut at Yuk Yuk's comedy club. Demers won the 2013 Toronto Comedy Brawl and the Homegrown Comics Competition at the Just for Laughs Festival in 2014. He was awarded the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Breakout Artist in 2015. In 2016, Demers appeared on America's Got Talent and in 2017, he performed on Conan. He has also made appearances on CBC Radio.
