Domenico Dolce

Domenico Dolce, born on August 13, 1958, is an Italian fashion designer and entrepreneur. Alongside Stefano Gabbana, he co-founded the luxury fashion house Dolce & Gabbana (D&G) in 1985. Born in Polizzi Generosa, Sicily, Dolce's parents were involved in the fashion industry, with his father being a tailor and his mother selling fabrics and apparel. Although he dropped out of fashion design school, Dolce believed he had enough knowledge to work in the industry. In 1983, he met Stefano Gabbana and together they launched their own brand, Dolce & Gabbana. Since then, Dolce has become one of the most influential fashion designers globally, establishing himself as an industry icon.
