Dominique Wilkins

Jacques Dominique Wilkins, known as Dominique Wilkins, is an American former professional basketball player. Born on January 12, 1960, he is widely recognized for his time with the Atlanta Hawks in the National Basketball Association (NBA). With his incredible dunking abilities, Wilkins earned the nickname 'the Human Highlight Film' and is considered one of the most acrobatic dunkers in NBA history. Throughout his career, he was a nine-time NBA All-Star and a seven-time All-NBA Team member. In the 1985-86 season, Wilkins led the NBA in scoring. He was honored as one of the league's greatest players of all-time by being named to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in October 2021. Wilkins was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006. In addition to his time with the Hawks, he also had brief stints with the Los Angeles Clippers and the Boston Celtics, as well as successful career opportunities overseas with Panathinaikos Athens in Greece and Fortitudo Bologna in Italy.
